It has been 1 month for the introduction of overseas investors to iron ore futures trading. In the past month, the internationalization of iron ore futures has achieved a smooth start. The liquidity of the market and the structure of the investor are good, which effectively helps the overseas customers to realize the risk management of the global industrial chain. As the first futures to realize opening to the outside world, the operation during the first month of internationalization is stable, and the volatility of futures prices is at a reasonable level. For the transaction of the first month (May 4th to June 3rd), the one-sided daily average trading volume, turnover and open interests of iron ore futures were 1.37 million, 64.23 billion and 1.10 million respectively, and the monthly average exchange turnover rate was 1.23%, the daily average proportion of open interests of corporate clients was 39.62%, 3% higher than that of April, and the market liquidity and market structure were better. In terms of price, the highest prices of 1809 contract of iron ore future was 494 while the lowest one was 449, the volatility is not large, the international business achieved a stable transition. At present, participating in the largest iron ore futures market in the world has become a new way to hedge market risks for overseas mining and traders. As of June 3rd, 51 overseas clients, including Glencore, and so on, were involved in iron ore futures trading. In addition, 26 overseas brokerages completed 33 groups of entrusted business records through inland futures companies. The press has learned that all sides of the market have made great efforts to push forward the account registration, the appropriateness audit, the promotion of business, the upgrading of the technical system, the promotion in overseas market and so on, which laid the foundation of the international business of iron ore futures.
