Part A: Review (2018/11/19-2018/11/23)

From November 19, 2018 to November 23, 2018:the closing price of PTA futures TA901 contract on Friday was 6014 yuan, 554 yuan lower than the closing price of the last trading day of last week. The highest price for this week is 6666 yuan, and the lowest point is 6006 yuan.

This week (2018/11/19-2018/11/23), the total volume of TA901 contract was 4,608,546 lots, an increase of 343,688 lots from last week. After the close of trading this Friday, open interest was 839,284 lots, a decrease of 44,212 lots from the last trading day of last week.

7,559,814 lots of China PTA futures were traded during 11/19/2018 to 11/23/2018, and the weekly turnover (notional value) was 236,930,150,800 yuan (RMB), approximately $34.19 billion. The average daily trading volume for the current week was 1,511,963 lots/day.

Part B: Market Dynamics

1.Exchange

On November 9, 2018, Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange released the relevant rules and amendments for the introduction of PTA futures into overseas markets. PTA futures officially entered the substantive operation stage of introducing foreign traders, and foreign traders can participate in PTA futures trading from November 30.

2.PTA Futures' first overseas legal client completed the account opening

11/13/2018, the second day after the PTA futures officially accepts the opening of foreign traders, a Hong Kong corporate client completed the opening of an account of PTA futures.

3. PTA Futures' first overseas industry customer completed account opening

On November 14, PTA futures ushered in the first overseas industry customer, and a large Hong Kong trader successfully completed the opening of an account of PTA futures.
