PTA (Pure Terephthalic Acid)

Review (2019/2/25-2019/3/8)

From February 25, 2019 to March 8, 2019:the closing price of the main contract (TA905 contract) of PTA futures on Friday was 6604 yuan, 14 yuan higher than the closing price of the last trading day of last week. The highest price for this week is 6848 yuan, and the lowest point is 6536 yuan.

This week (2019/2/25-2019/3/8), the total volume of the main contract was 13,715,476 lots, an increase of 3,253,164 lots from last week. After the close of trading this Friday, the open interest of the main contract was 1,091,254 lots, an increase of 153,412 lots from the last trading day of last week.

15,196,578 lots of China PTA futures were traded during 3/4/2019 to 3/8/2019, and the weekly turnover (notional value) was 504,374 million yuan (RMB), approximately $75.02 billion. The average daily trading volume for the current week was 3,039,316 lots/day.
