Fang Xinghai: the internationalization of agricultural futures should be put on the agenda as soon as possible

Recently, the Expert Review Meeting on Futures Variety Function Evaluation in 2018, sponsored by the Futures Department of the Securities Regulatory Commission, was held in Beijing. Fang Xinghai, Vice-Chairman of the Securities Regulatory Commission, attended the meeting and made a speech. Fang Xinghai believes that under the background that the medium and long-term prospects of China's economy are getting better, China's futures market has tremendous room for development. Next, the internationalization of agricultural futures should be put on the agenda as soon as possible, attracting more international investors to participate, enhancing the international influence of China's futures market and enhancing the global pricing ability of China's commodities. Secondly, more options will be listed. Thirdly, the scale of funds in China's futures market is expanding. We should open channels for foreign capital inflows and attract more medium- and long-term capital inflows into the market.

近日，由证监会期货部主办的2018年期货品种功能评估专家评审会在京举行，证监会副主席方星海出席会议并讲话。方星海认为，在中国经济中长期前景向好背景下，我国期货市场发展空间巨大。下一步，农产品期货国际化要尽快提上日程，吸引更多国际投资者参与，提升我国期货市场国际影响力，增强我国大宗商品全球定价能力。其次，更多期权品种将迎来上市。再次，我国期货市场资金规模扩大可期。要打通境外资金流入渠道，吸引更多中长期资金流入市场。
